Tell us more about yourself.
I’m a big believer in optimism—I try to see the good in everyone and everything. I also believe in the power of manifesting: that our thoughts can shape the world around us. Living in the moment matters to me because no two moments are ever the same.

I love immersing myself in different cultures; I’ve travelled solo to Japan twice without an itinerary, and once without accommodation for a night!

What are some of your interests beyond academic goals?
To stay active, I’m into sports like bouldering, basketball, and running. In fact, I’ll try any sports my friends rope me into.
Lately, I’ve been discovering old hobbies—sewing, playing the piano, and chess. These activities not only help me recharge, but also let me connect with people and rediscover different parts of myself.
What made you decide on SMU?
Honestly, SMU wasn’t really on my radar until I heard a few SMU students speak at an alumni session in my JC. The way they spoke with such confidence and clarity left a huge impression on me. I knew I wanted to grow into someone like that.
That’s why SMU’s seminar-style classes appealed to me. I’m excited to sharpen my communication and presentation skills in that kind of environment.
I also love the city campus vibe at SMU. It feels energetic and inspiring—exactly the kind of place where I want to learn.

What are you looking forward to the most when the school year opens?
I can’t wait to meet new people and make lifelong connections at SMU. Some of my best memories are from friendships formed in school, so I’m hoping for the same, or even better, here.
Whether it’s during classes or through the clubs I plan to join, I’m excited to form meaningful connections with people of different backgrounds and personalities at SMU.
