Tell us more about yourself.
I played football at ACS(I), and in my free time I enjoy music and movies—Rodeo by Travis Scott is my favourite album, while Django Unchained tops my movie list.
I’ve always loved travelling and learning about different cultures, which is why a career in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) appeals to me. At the same time, I’m also drawn to consulting. That’s why I chose PLE at SMU, as it would equip me with a strong foundation across disciplines and keep my career options open.

I want to explore topics from multiple perspectives and learn how to connect the dots between politics, law and economics.

What are some of your interests beyond academic goals?
Travelling helps me see the world from different perspectives and understand cultures beyond my own—that’s something I really value.
I also enjoy sports like football and basketball—they’re great for staying active and meeting new people.
I am also passionate about social issues in Singapore, especially how marginalised communities are impacted and what can be done to create more inclusive systems.
What made you decide on SMU?
What drew me to SMU was the interdisciplinary nature of the PLE major. I want to explore topics from multiple perspectives and learn how to connect the dots between politics, law and economics.
I also appreciate SMU’s city campus location—being close to the CBD means I’ll have easy access to internship opportunities.
And I’m really looking forward to the seminar-style classes, which I believe will help sharpen my presentation and communication skills—both essential for the kind of career I want to build.

What are you looking forward to the most when the school year opens?
Having completed junior college and national service, I’m excited to start my undergraduate chapter at SMU. I’m looking forward to exploring the city campus, making new friends, learning more about their career aspirations, and getting involved in CCAs.
